The best poetry, in my opinion, is like a favorite song because the poetry is written in such a way that the reader/listener connects with the content as well as the phrasing and cadence. In the examples from the text this week, you saw songs that not only convey meaningful content (with excellent imagery and symbolism) but also correlate that content with the music it is set to.For your inital post, I want you to select a song (it must have lyrics but can be from any time range) that you see as literature (meaning that the content and music create a moment for you that is meaningful beyond the wording due to the crafting of the piece). Tell us in the intial post which song you have selected along with the artist whose performance you like best for that song. Indicate to your reader in a short paragraph why you see that song as literature and how its performance as a song (rather than a written poem) positively contributes to the meaning. You might also consider what kinds of imagery and symbolism are used as well as how the phrasing and cadence of the song affect the lyrics.
